business products. Vendors may secure names for a mailing list, have
registration for prizes, show a video or slides and display products.
However,
- No food sales from these spots are allowed
- no political literature is allowed
- No raffle tickets may be sold
- No games of chance allowed
- No product promoting or glorifying any illegal substance or
product allowed.
Insurance: Vendor shall maintain throughout the period of the fair
public liability insurance. Please contact Gene Murkison (listed above)
for the amount. This can be done in several ways. Again please
contact Gene for details.
THE CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER
THAN FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2009 and MUST COME DIRECTLY
FROM YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY OR AGENT.
Set-up: The fairgrounds will be open Saturday October 10, 2009 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm and on Saturday, pm
on Monday October 12th which is opening day of the fair. The Chairman of Outdoor Commercial Booths should be
contacted to approve your setup once you have completed it. He will be present or may be called during the setup
period. The Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair reserves the right to resell any space not occupied by 5:00pm on Sunday
October 11th, 2009 and the vendor shall forfeit all money paid.
Payment: Full payment is due at the time the Vendor application is returned and no later than Thursday, Outdoor
Commercial Booths at the address located at the bottom of these Guidelines. Application for space will be
processed when full payment, including insurance certificate is received.
Passes: Vendors will be supplied with four (4) vendor daily passes for each day of the fair. The Chairman of
Outdoor Commercial Booths will issue passes when booth setup is complete.
Deliveries: Properly permitted vehicles may make deliveries through the designated gate; however, no vehicles
will be allowed inside the fairgrounds two hours before opening time each day of the fair. NO vehicles will be
allowed to enter the fairgrounds while the fair is in session.
Inspection: The Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair reserves the right to inspect any goods for sale or service delivery activity
at any time without notice and without seeking consent. The Chairman of Outdoor Commercial Booths and/or
the Fair Chairman are designated as the Kiwanis personnel authorized to conduct these inspections. The Fair
Chairman has the full right to stop sales by vendors of any product unsafe or not appropriate to sell on the
fairgrounds. The first infraction will result in a warning. The second infraction will result in closure without refund.
Electrical Service: Electrical Service will be provided to vendor if available in the section the vendor has rented.
Vendor is responsible for determining power requirements. Vendor is responsible and will be held liable for any
overload, misuse or damage which results from inadequate power supply.
Space Confinement Requirements: It is specifically agreed and understood the lease is for the space specified
by the Chairman of Outdoor Commercial Booths and that aisles, walkways, common ways and other parts of the
fairgrounds are not considered a part of the lease areas. Further, Vendor agrees that all personnel and
property used in connection with the lease space will be kept within in specified space. No roving sales nor
the subleasing of space to another vendor will be allowed.
Use for Other Purposes: The use of the leased space for anything other than agreed by both parties is strictly
prohibited.
Take Down: All items must be removed and Vendors must vacate the leased space no earlier than 12 am
(Saturday midnight) and no later than 5:00 pm Sunday, Oct 18, 2009. The Kiwanis Club of Statesboro is absolved
of all responsibilities for any thing left after this time. Security is no longer provided after 5:00 pm on Sunday,
October 18th.
Outside Commercial Booth. As space is limited, applications will be on a first come, first serve basis.
