2011 Art Show

•        No entry may have been previously entered in the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair.
•        Art must have been created in the past 5 years.
•        No exhibitor may place more than one (1) entry in each category.
•        Each entry, with the exception of those in the children’s and developmentally challenged                  
categories, must be properly wired for hanging.  Wires must not be attached by tape.
•        Children of any age through grade 12 may make only one entry.
•        Entries will be accepted between
9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011.
•        All entries must be picked up between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2011.
•        No entries will be removed before 2 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011.  No exceptions.
•        High school students may enter in the adult category.  An adult is defined as a high school student
(9th grade and up) or older.
•        All work entered must be original art—no copies from art instruction books, no paint by numbers,
and no work copied from published art.
•        The Statesboro Regional Art Association and the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair Committee each reserves
the right to refuse acceptance of any exhibit it considers unsuitable due to nudity or otherwise generally
offensive nature for a family setting.  Both entities may also refuse to accept any exhibit where framing is
unsuitable or originality of exhibit is questionable.

Only one exhibit per student.  Maximum size is 18” x 24”, including mount board or mat.  Original works
only—no paint by numbers.  Student’s name, grade, school must be printed legibly on front of art.

Awards
A ribbon will be presented to each first, second and third place winner in each category.  Cash prizes will
be paid as follows:
1st Place   $6                 2nd Place   $5                 3rd Place   $4

Special Category:  Kiwanis Heritage Award for Paintings
        Painting must depict Southeast Georgia Heritage.
        Minimum size 9” x 12” unframed.  Work must be framed and wired for hanging.
        Entries may not have been previously entered in the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair Art Exhibit.
        High school students and adults may enter.
        ONLY one entry per person is allowed.
Heritage Award for Paintings:          1st Place   $125                 2nd Place   $75                 3rd Place   $50

Special Category:  Kiwanis Heritage Award for Photography
        Photograph must depict Southeast Georgia Heritage.
        Photograph may be digitally enhanced.
        Photograph does not need to be of a specific size, but must be framed and wired for hanging.
        Entries may not have been previously entered in the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair Art Exhibit.
        High school students and adults may enter.
        ONLY one entry per person is allowed.
Heritage Award for Photography:          1st Place   $50              2nd Place   $25          3rd Place   $10

Liability:  Neither the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair nor the Statesboro Regional Art Association nor the Kiwanis
Club of Statesboro will be responsible for loss or damage that may occur to any exhibit.
Teachers will be required to have a list of names, category and
place. w
hen picking up students money.  If you do not have a
list, you will be required to wait until you compile a list.
